Downtown Walk-Around
Downtown Mainstreet, Inc. (DMI) is planning the third annual Downtown Walk-Around. The Downtown Walk-Around is an event to increase awareness of downtown businesses and to promote a healthy lifestyle. This event is a walking challenge for everyone who lives in and loves the La Crosse area! Anyone may participate in the program by obtaining a Downtown Walk-Around card and walking into participating business to receive a stamp. Once they have filled the card, they are eligible to win fabulous downtown prizes after the culmination of the event.
The Downtown Walk-Around will kick off Friday, May 3rd at 5:00 pm with a press conference at Cameron Park, which is the opening day of the Cameron Park Farmer's Market. The celebration ceremony will be on Friday, June 7th from 4-6pm in Cameron Park—in coordination with the Cameron Park Farmer’s Market. Participants may enjoy refreshments, live music and will be eligible for prizes when they turn in their completed stamped cards. The event is sponsored by Downtown Mainstreet Inc., Mayo Clinic and over 50 participating downtown businesses.
